Can you help Seiva?
Seiva is in need of a forever home
Update 2nd May 2017
Seiva is now available for adoption
Seiva has responded well to her training, she has received lots of one-one work, she can still be reactive to certain dogs when out and about so this will need on-going attention. She is not too sure in crowds and lively environments.
Seiva does have a healthy prey drive so will not be suitable to live with cats. She shows a very keen interest in livestock too.
She is a very happy girl, who literally jumps into your arms on greeting you. She likes attention and loves to be groomed. She likes attention a little too much and can be competitive with dogs she lives with so we will be looking for her to go to a home where she is the only dog and get all the attention and devotion she deserves.
Seiva is crate trained and is very well behaved indoors but would not like to be left on her own for long periods of time. She also believes she is half monkey and likes to climb. She can jump/climb fences in record timing so a secure garden with a minimum of 6’ fencing is essential.
Seiva has not been assessed around young children, and due to the fact she feels a lot more settled in a quiet environment we will not be homing her to a young family.
We will ask that applicants meet her first and several visits will be preferred , current location – Norfolk.
If you think you match the criteria to adopt Seiva and can offer her happy ever after home then please get in touch.
Update 30th March 2017
Seiva is now settled into her new environment and we are pleased so say she is responding well to her training.
She has been playing with some of the other dogs and has interacted with respect and shown submissive behaviours.
Seiva has recently been spayed and has made a full recovery from the op and is now back out enjoying her walks in the forest and on the beach. She travels well in a crate but if lose in the car she will try to jump on you and gets stressed so crate is essential.
She has been non-reactive to other dogs she has met when out and about and is good on the lead. She is not too good in crowds and does not like loud noises and is spooked by people wearing high-vis clothing. She has a very strong urge to chase small furies and shows a very keen interest in livestock.
Seiva is a happy girl who likes her attention, she loves to be groomed and have cuddles. She will need a very calm environment and will benefit from having another dog at home and an owner who is around a lot as she does not like to be left. She is a little monkey and thinks nothing of hopping over 6’ fences so any applicant will need a minimum of 6’ fencing and she will not be able to be left unattended in the garden.
With the amount of progress made in a relatively short space of time we are hopeful she will be available for adoption soon.
Current location: Norfolk – visits will be essential.
Seiva (aka Etta) has come in as an emergency case and is now in kennels.
Seiva has several issues and once she has settled in she will start her training. Due to the issues Seiva has we envisage she is going to be in kennels for a while before we can consider putting her into a foster home.
She will be going to vets for a check-up, and will be booked in for her spay and vaccinations and worming. It is still very early days so we have no further information to give at this time, but updates will follow.
