Can you help Sapphire?
Sapphire is under assessment
Sapphire was on the loose up in Bradford and no owner came forward. She did sustain some injuries and was given antibiotics for the wound to her front leg which was infected and her back pad was split, that too was treated. She has been back since for more check-ups and a scan. The infection is gone but her wound is quite deep so will take some time to heal fully, her fosterer was concerned she was still lame on front leg so we had her back in for X rays and found two small chips to her front wrist. So she is on anti-inflammatories and pain relief.
She is very timid of strangers and will back away and try to remove herself from any form of contact, however this is improving and if left she will come forward on her own and have a sniff. It is going to take time and a lot of patience to gain her trust.
Further details will be provided following her assessment.
