Well what an amazing month and lots of people to thank!
We would like you all to welcome Andrea and Paul to the WdR family. Andrea and Paul have now officially adopted the lovely Meeya and Lana, so these two will be staying together, we are so happy for them. Big smiles all round, we were very concerned when they first arrived that we would have to split them so this is the best news ever as little Meeya really needs Lana’s guidance. Thank you so much!! Sorry Andrea, but we just knew you would hehe
We would also like to welcome Annette to the family, she has officially adopted Moon. Moon has been in foster with Annette for a while now and the progress he is making is amazing. We were very fortunate to see just how far he has come along when Annette brought him to the South Wales show at the weekend, he was surrounded by dogs of all shapes and sizes and was fantastic, he was a real role model meeting and greeting the public and loved his belly rubs from the children. We got to see the bond he has made with Annette and that was that, he has chosen his forever home and of course we had to listen to him, lol. We honestly cannot thank Annette enough for all the hard work, patience and dedication and love she has given Moon to get him to this stage. We are so so happy for him!! Looking forward to seeing those agility videos soon
We would like to announce that the very special Stark has also been officially adopted. Lorraine Chris Briant have said he is completely settled with them and it was very clear he was not going anywhere ever again. He is part of the family and is loving his early morning beach walks, Stark is a very lucky (and probably spoilt) boy. Thank you!
Storm was on the groups looking for a foster placement, but after talking with the owners they are now looking at alternative solutions and are going to put things in place so that they can keep him, which is fantastic news.
We have taken and welcomed Kodiak to the WdR family this month, he is a gorgeous boy who is desperately needing a foster placement. He is not doing well in kennels and needs a safe foster home where he can have his cuddles and be assessed. You can share his posts from our public page. I cannot express enough how urgent this is, he needs our help.
We also welcomed Logan to the WdR family, Logan is only 5 months old so will be adopted out on a contract to neuter. He is in foster and will be receiving some training and we will update as he is assessed. Updates to follow soon.
We have taken Ayasha back, she is now in kennels and is being assessed. She will be looking for a foster home shortly. Currently she is being worked with on a daily basis and is enjoying the mental stimulation work.
Unfortunately due to huge change in circumstances Sabre is with us. Sabre is now in foster, will be neutered and assessed and available soon.
We need to say a HUGE thank you to Alison McHendry who raised £100 by doing a raffle, congratulations to the winner Jo Doswell
We need to say a HUGE thank you to Cilest Wolfmother for donating all monies raised from the open day of ‘Sacred Life’ to us. Cilest raised a massive £320 for us, thank you
We need to say a HUGE thank you to Claire, Claire organised a pack walk which raised £146 and then with the WdR merchandise sold the total raised was £181, thank you
We need to say a HUGE thank you to the lovely Isabelle (got to be our youngest supporter) Isabelle entered a competition and won!! Isabelle has donated all the prize money to WdR – what a little super star. We need to thank you all for taking the time to vote and all the shares, which made this win possible. Claire and Isabelle have donated the £351 prize money to us, thank you
We need to say a HUGE thank you to Sharon Rob Hadley and Sam Bryce, who have attended a few local shows with a stall. They have been raising lots of awareness for us and we have had some great feedback. Whilst raising much needed awareness they also managed to raise £27, thank you
We need to say a huge Thank You to Christine Coxon who completed the gruesome Tough Mudder challenge and raising money for us, the money is still coming in so we are not sure on total yet. It’s not too late to sponsor Christine and give her a pat on the back. I know Christine is already thinking of doing it again next year but would like to put a WdR team together to do it, more on that to follow, keep an eye out on groups for updates.
We need to say another thank you to Sarah who has raised another £40 this month with her work tuck shop. Thank you
We have just got back from the Fonmon Castle, South Wales show where we have had a great day, meeting new friends, catching up with old friends and working with Natalie to promote the breed in a positive way and educating lots of people about the breed. We were really grateful to have been asked by the show organisers if we could hold a special Northern Breed show as part of the event. This went really well with all proceeds going to WdR. Thank you Julie Miyax Bradshaw for stepping in and being judge. We raised £158.80 from the stall sales and the show. Thank you to all who came along, thank you to all who made this possible by sponsoring classes, donating items and prizes and a special thank you to Christine Coxon for donating the cost of the rosettes.
The auction was a great success and we have raised £343.15 thank you to everyone that donated items and placed bids, congratulations to all winning bidders. Your items should be with you very soon. (remind me never to do an auction and show at the same time again)
