Another crazy and stressful month. To start with the good news…… We are super excited to share: Sue Hull – Director of the UK Wolf Conservation Trust, Natalie Lagstrom – Animal Behaviourist and Director of Naturally Pets Canine Centre & Watermill Wolves and Julie Miyax Bradshaw – Director of Miyax Lupine are holding a ‘Wolfdog Educational Day’ in aid of Wolfdog Rescue on the 6th August in Derby. Poster to follow very shortly with booking information.
We attended the fabulous Dogs Unleashed Show; it was great to meet so many of you and your dogs. We had a great time catching up with friends and seeing many of our WdR family. We raised a fantastic £650.99. Thank you to all who came along and supported us, hope you had as good a time as we did. Huge thank you to Sam again for her talks on lost dogs and tracking, to Jem for being our official photographer on the Sunday for us. Huge thank you to Julie for bringing the gorgeous Eve along, who was just fantastic and loved having her photos taken with her admiring humans.
Lobo is now in foster and doing really well, he is now available for adoption, please see his individual advert.
Druid is still available and looking for his forever home, please see his individual advert for more information.
Timber has had the all clear from the vet and is on no further medication, she is looking for a very special and loving forever home, please see individual advert for more information.
Seiva is now available for her forever home, please see her individual advert for more information.
Sadly we have another three dogs waiting to come in so we are on the lookout for suitable fosters again.
We are so happy to announce that Tala has been officially adopted by her foster carers Carey and Jack. Tala has fitted into their home so well that they could not let her go; we are delighted for Tala and could not have asked for a better forever home for her.
We are also delighted to let you know the wonderful Evie has also been adopted this month, it is still very early days, but she is settling in well and adjusting to her new forever home. Please welcome Tracy to the WdR family. We cannot thank Gemma enough for all she has done; Gemma worked her magic on this girl and took her from the nervous un-socialised dog we received to a very happy, smiling girlie who is eager to please. Thank you!
As you will have all seen, we had some distressing news to also share this month about poor Timber and the set of events surrounding the injury which resulted in us going and removing our dogs from Oleter Kennels. As yet we still have not had a reply email or any communication with David Foad, nor has he made any attempt to pay the vet bill that happened while she was in his care. As many of you have suggested we will be looking into this with the possibility of taking further action. We want to thank you for all your positive comments and support shown during this stressful time. We also want to say a huge thank you to those who have donated towards her large vet bill. If anyone wishes to make a donation please use the reference ‘Timber’ and donate via paypal: email@example.com
