Firstly we need to thank everyone who has donated towards Takoda’s vet fees. We are overwhelmed by the donations, response and words of support and kindness, so on behalf of the admin team, Sam and especially Takoda…THANK YOU. As you will probably have seen throughout the month via updates, she is doing much better, the wounds are healing and the infection has gone.
The biggest challenge Sam is facing at the moment is getting her to keep her bandages on, we cannot risk infection again, yet even with collars and muzzle she manages to get them off. The vets are amazed at her recovery speed and are very pleased with the wounds themselves now. So far for this month her bill has come in at £1800. I think with all your generous donations and the monies raised from Zoe’s auction we will only be a few hundred short of this month’s bill.
We need to say a huge thank you to Isla who put us in touch with Fran Parkes & Helen Dino, who have been out and had a Zoopharmacognosy session with Takoda. The session went really well and she knew what she wanted! We are very impressed indeed, Sam reports Takoda has been a lot better and calmer too. For those who have not heard of Zoompharmacognosy it is a behaviour in which non-human animals
